YOGA/PILATES Experience increased strength and flexibility
through Hatha Yoga and Mat Pilates. The most popular form of yoga, Hatha emphasizes health and well-being through breathing exercises, special postures
(asanas) and concentration. Pilates focuses on core stabilization and creating long and lean muscles.
Laura received her AFAA Yoga Teacher Certification and CEUs and Yoga
Journal’s 2008 Boston Conference Continuing Education for Teachers credits to implement safe Yoga and
Pilates poses into personal training sessions.

PASSIVE, TRAINER-ASSISTED
STRETCHING A great in-home personal training session
to pair with massage! While you
lie back and relax, Laura will stretch your limbs to their fullest comfortable range of motion, relieving muscle
stiffness and soreness while increasing flexibility.
Passive stretching sessions work well for those who might not otherwise take the time and have the focus to
fully relax into the stretches, and to do so for a sufficient duration. Unlike during self-stretching, the client remains completely
passive during trainer-assisted stretching. Muscles are able to safely reach a deeper level of mobility; there is often
some tension when one stretches alone if there are restricted areas of mobility. In that situation the brain will modify the
muscles' ability to relax. Flexibility training is just like any other type, requiring a consistent and progressive application
to re-program hypertonic muscular patterns.
